Bot Client Installation Manual for Windows

This manual will cover how to install the Codespace.net Bot Client on a Windows Vista/XP installation. This manual assumes that you have already purchased one of our bots, and have received your authorization code via email.

User Manual

  • Check to see if you have Java installed (if you play runescape, you probably already have this done and don't need it!) on your computer already by clicking here. If not, then click the "Download Java Now" button, or get it manually from the Java Downloads page.

  • After Java has finished downloading to your computer, install it.
  • Download the bot client from our Downloads page.
  • Unzip (extract) botclient.zip to a new folder such as C:\Program Files\botclient\ or some other location on your computer you see fit. You can do this by using the windows extract tool or some other program like WinRAR.
  • Click on install-windows, as shown in the picture below (red arrow). NOTE: Make sure you run in administrator mode.

ATTENTION WINDOWS VISTA USERS: If when you run the installer and all that happens is the black box pops up quickly and then closes back out, you need to set your Java JRE environment variables.

  • Select the Windows 32bit option for 32 bit processors or the Windows 64bit option for 64 bit processors. Most users will have 32 bit processors.
  • Select the current version of the bot client you want to install. This can be found on the download page under "Current version".
  • Select the SQLite Universal option.
  • Click the Install button, as shown in the picture below (red arrow).

  • The bot client is now installed. As shown in the picture below (red arrow), double click run to start your bot client! NOTE: If you have 1 GB or less of ram, you may get errors when trying to launch from run. You will need to launch from run-with-cmd-lowram instead (green arrow).

  • Wait a moment for the bot client to start up. Add your bot's auth code, and continue. Happy botting! NOTE: Do not press any keys while the bot client is starting up, even if prompted to do so by the cmd window.
  • Check out our Using the Bot Client tutorial and how to activate your Auth.
